I’m sure all of us have been down an Instagram rabbit hole or two before, but hey those are the best ways to stumble upon gems, right? Well I recently ended up on the page of the coolest 7-year old on the planet, Coco. I’ll give you a moment to go search and follow her……..yes, I know, I KNOW! Its not everyday you see a child with the wardrobe of YOUR dreams. Commes des Garcons, Fendi, Gucci, Louis Vuitton x Supreme, the list goes on and on.

Hailing from Harajuku, Japan, this street style star adopted her love of fashion around the age of 3. Her parents are owners of the vintage clothing store Funktique in Tokyo, check it on Instagram @funktiquetokyo, so there is no doubt fashion is in her blood.
As most parents do on IG, Misato, Coco’s mom, began posting photos of her daughter in these fabulous ensembles. Followers took notice and requested Coco have her own account STAT, thus the birth of @coco_pinkprincess. It may seem bizarre for a child so young to have so much…”clout on the gram” for lack of a better term, but her audience loves it! In just two years her follower count has skyrocketed from about 12k last year to 400k+ followers to date.

Being featured in top publications such as Vogue and Elle, Coco exudes style that I wish I had. Her innocent and adorable face can draw just about anyone in! Misato shares with us that her daughter’s focus is building her platform for now, but Coco has dreams of becoming a hairdresser, a chef, or a patissier. Her fashion-conscious looks scream rebellion which keeps followers coming back for more. She’s definitely my newest fashion muse.
The 90s are back in a MAJOR way as of late. Nostalgia is definitely a driving force in fashion, people love to live in a reverie of when things were great, aka their childhood. Brands are taking notes and are creating a resurgence of fashions from back in the day.
The only chunky sole I can bear to stand are lug sole booties, however others beg to differ. The release of Balenciaga’s Triple-S was the start of it all…for me at least. As a child I despised chunky sneakers so the sight of them now makes me cringe, but its what the people want!
Then the Eytys Angel sneaker was donned upon us….now if I had to choose I’d prefer these over the Triple-S any day. Maybe its because of the options they come in like shiny leather, monochrome suede or the two tone sole? I don’t know but..you decide.
As if that wasn’t enough, consumers just keep wanting more and more! Now Buffalo trainers are back! If growing up you were a Spice Girls fanatic like I was, you’d recognize these sneakers in a heartbeat. Being re-released in black and white colorways, these shoes already have a serious waiting list.
Those of you who are into the ugly sneaker trend then these are right up your alley. Itching to get your hands on these? They will be available starting today, in stores and online, at Browns in the UK.
As most of you read from my Buzzfeed article on upcoming fall trends, if not click here, textured hats are definitely making a comeback this season. All September long fashionistas worldwide posted their many fashion week OOTDs, you’ve probably seen that the beret most certainly has crept is way back on the heads of our favorite influencers.
In addition to the classic cozy wool berets, we’re keeping it sleek and chic with leather ones too. For styling tips and where to find the best ones keep on reading.

Pair with a vintage tee and high waist leather pants or a simple bold red lip and hoops for an edgy 90s feel.
Contrast colors and patterns with stylish accessories. The red and the camo balance each other perfectly .
For the minimalist, less is more obviously. Throw on your beret with a simple overcoat and you’re ready to go.
Recently I stumbled upon an Australian based company called Lack of Color Hats. It’s known for its variety of men’s and women’s hats in array of styles and colors. Their assortment varies from berets, messenger caps, wide brim fedoras and more.
To shop the collection head over to Lack of Color Hats or view them on Instagram @lackofcoloraus
90 degrees May?! What’s going on? The weather is finally breaking and you know what that means; shorter hemlines and showing lots of skin. By now you’ve most likely come across my favorite three trends for the Spring/Summer season.
From Wall Street to the runway, this trend is sure to be seen on rompers, deconstructed tops, shirts dresses and more. Top from MakeMeChic.com
Ruffles Ruffles Ruffles
Without a doubt this look will be the most popular. Whether you like the light and airy or defined and structured look you’ve got to add ruffles to your closet, guaranteed to become a staple piece. Find this fab top from Boohoo.com
This intricate needlework technique has found its way into fast fashion. Looks best on denim pieces and mesh bodysuits. Embroidered items will be a bit pricy but its worth it. Jeans from Forever21.
The weather has broken and Summer is right around the corner! Here are some looks you’re bound to see for the next 3 months.
1. Capri Bodysuits – A must have this season. This bodycon suit will have you showing off those curves all summer. Style this with a long light duster, a chunky heel, and a cute pair of sunnies. (PC: @amrezy @sorellaboutique)
2. Monochromatic outfits – Colorblocking? Not this season. Keep your separates within the same color hue yet in different textures. You’ll be sure to make a statement without bold patterns.(PC: @aaliyahjay)
3. Dashikis – West Africa come throughhh! With this look less is more. This loose tunic works best simply on its own with a pair of thigh high boots. (PC: @stafanimilano)
4. Off the shoulder tops – Boat necklines are making a comeback. These tops are probably the most versatile piece on my list. Style with high waisted bottoms or denim cutoffs with a choker. (PC: @madeleinebitici)
5. Crochet swim – These bohemian styles are destined to make a splash this summer. The tan lines might be crazy with the monokinis but who doesn’t want to show off their summer bodies in a handcrafted suit. (PC: @kiini)
The 90’s are totally making their way back into shoe trends for the spring with lug sole shoes. This thick, chunky sole isn’t just for hiking anymore, its popping up on runways and on the feet of women from sporty to chic.
There are some pros and cons of the lug sole however, some might not like the chunkiness, or the additional weight it brings to the shoe, but on the bright side its slip resistant, provides great traction and stability. Personally, I do love the trend, just not on me. I’m already 5’9″ and don’t want to seem any taller. But for shorter gals out there I say go for it, especially if you are looking to add some height. You’ll be sure to elevate.
I found these on a website called Wheretoget.it, this is a great site to find looks and items that’s been seen on celebs, shows and social media. It’s very similar to The Hunt. Click the pic for more info.
As the Winter days were finally coming to an end a couple of weeks ago, I finally decided to start my hunt for the perfect leather jacket. Late, I know. Looking at all the different varieties on the web was cool and all but there’s nothing like physically walking into a store and trying it on. (There are just somethings you cannot buy online without worrying about how it’ll fit.)
Now when I say I went on a hunt, I went on a hunt. I tried three different malls and finally found the perfect one as I was just about to give up. Wandering into American Eagle with the look of defeat, I rummaged through the racks to find not one leather jacket. The store manager could tell I was on a serious mission and asked if I needed help. I told him what I needed and went to the back. I prayed that this jacket wasn’t two things: hideous and/or super expensive. He came back and said this was the last one and it was on clearance! *cue the choir of angels* It was perfect!
So I scored this baby for just $35, originally priced at $99.95 .
Having a chic leather jacket is a staple that everyone must have in their closet. Most important factor of having one is to give your wardrobe some versatility. Here are some ways you can take your jacket from day to night..
